15 Feb Homemade Chocolates
If you’re a dark chocolate fan like me, you’ll love these homemade chocolates. Filled with tasty, nutritious ingredients – try to eat just one 😉
1/2 cup whole almonds
1 cup coconut oil
1 cup ground nuts (I used almond flour)
1/2 cup nut butter
1/2 cup cocoa
1/4 tsp salt
1/4 cup chopped fruit (i.e. raisins or apricots)
3 Tbsp sunflower or pumpkin seeds
1/4 cup shredded coconut
2 Tbsp maple syrup
2 Tbsp molasses
- Melt the coconut oil in a pot on the stove over medium heat. Add all other ingredients (except the almonds) to the pot, and mix to combine.
- Meanwhile, add 1-2 almonds to the bottom of an ice cube or chocolate mould tray.
- Pour the melted chocolate mixture into the ice cube tray or moulds.
- Cover moulds with saran, and stick in the freezer until solid.
